About
How I work
Most of the problems I have been handed arrived as something other than a design problem: a support queue growing faster than the company, a checkout flow that couldn’t price itself, or a product that worked perfectly on paper but delivered zero value because a box sat unopened on a counter.
The work is finding the root cause, deciding on the right intervention, and validating a solution against trade-offs. Sometimes the answer is a visual component. Sometimes it is workflow sequencing, or intentionally holding off until there is team capacity to do it right. Decisions have a clear rationale, and results are measurable by impact.
What I've worked on
I started in consumer mobile on the original iHeartRadio app, then spent several years building complex enterprise software, including financial intelligence tools at Thomson Reuters and a supply-chain risk platform at KPMG, where I am a named inventor on the primary dashboard design patent. In between, I ran an independent consulting practice across healthcare, insurance, finance, and consumer utilities.
More recently, I led product design at GraphiteRx (a marketplace enabling hospitals to purchase specialty drugs directly) and ran creative strategy at Sealed (a climate-tech company helping homeowners optimize energy use).
Across these roles, I have served as a founding designer, head of design, and player-coach. I have built teams from scratch and executed complete products solo.
What I'm doing now
I founded and operate Weluma Labs, a mail-in water screening service I built end to end: the testing methodologies, logistics workflows, digital results dashboard, and customer consultation experience.
Credentials
Working together
I partner with teams on contract and fractional product design work through advisory roles, project-based sprints, or dedicated days per month. I am most effective when tackling an undiagnosed product problem or embedding with a team that needs senior design judgment (with a little attitude).
